See Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney's Cutest Moments Together

See Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney's Cutest Moments Together

Ever since Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney announced their engagement with a series of awe-inducing snaps of her gorgeous ring, we haven't been able to take our eyes off of this It couple. Whether they're hitting the red carpet to show their support for one another's projects (American Horror Story: Hotel for her, Chicago Fire for him) or taking selfies on their couch, Gaga and Kinney always manage to get in a little bit of adorable PDA.
To close out 2015 and herald in the year they (hopefully!) tie the knot, we've rounded up this duo's best moments together on Instagram.

Lady Gaga Gets the Best Christmas Surprise Ever – See Her Beautiful White Horse!

Lady Gaga Receives White Horse for Christmas

Lady Gaga was dreaming of a white horse for Christmas, and she got one!

Gaga, 29, received a sweet surprise just in time for the holidays from her team at Interscope Records. The singer and actress shared photos of her new horse on Instagram recently writing, "I feel like I've known her my whole life she wants to show me things."

Mother Monster is certainly on the nice list this year, earning not only her 17th Grammy nomination and Billboard's Woman of the Year but also her first Golden Globe acting nod
The fiancée of Taylor Kinney was shocked when she had a special gift dropped off at her home on Monday. "Today on my doorstep was delivered a White Angel from heaven," she shared on Instagram.

"It felt like the old days of the record business, she's such a spiritual girl! A heartfelt thank you to John Janick and Steve Berman, the whole Interscope family," Gaga continued, adding, "I will ride, and care for, and love her forever. I was so surprised!"

It was only a couple of years ago when the American Horror Story: Hotel star arrived to the American Music Awards riding on a white human horse, now she owns her very own!

Lady Gaga Receives Her Billboard Woman Of The Year Award From Her Biggest Fan — Her Mom

Lady Gaga is hardly unfamiliar with being nominated for or receiving awards. And though the performer has been laying low of late as far as the pop music scene is concerned, Lady Gaga is still raking in the honors. This month, she received her first Golden Globe nominationfor her acting in American Horror Story: Hotel. And on Friday night, she was honored by Billboard Women In Music as 2015's Woman Of The Year. This award ceremony has been taking place annually for the past decade. This year, Lifetime broadcast the show to a national audience for the very first time. Viewers tuning in for the show saw a tribute to Gaga that was a full family affair. With her family, fiance Taylor Kinney, and duet partner Tony Bennett in the audience, Lady Gaga accepted the Woman Of The Year award from her mother, Cynthia Germanotta.
It was a touching and personal choice, and I wonder if Billboard or Lady Gaga herself came up with the idea. Other artists received their awards from friends, collaborators, or admirers who are also in the industry. But the last award of the evening was handed to the Woman Of The Year by the woman who raised her. Lady Gaga has consistently voiced her gratitude for the support of her parents since she first broke through in music. The close ties she keeps to her family and her references to her conventional upbringing contrast strikingly with her avant-garde extravagance and daredevil theatricality. Lady Gaga didn't arrive in a bubble or sport a raw meat dress for this particular event, but it's always cool and bizarre in the best way to see her with relatives who are so — for lack of a better word — normal.
Cynthia Germanotta prefaced the award presentation with a heartfelt speech that related two major family moments that occurred 29 years previous. First, her daughter Stephanie was born; and then their family inherited her father's childhood piano.
That family piano was the beginning of and a catalyst for a curious, creative, compassionate and self-driven baby girl. She learned to walk by grabbing on to the leg of that piano and pulling herself up and in the process, managed to reach the keys. She heard the sound and thereafter, day after day, she would go to the piano and press those black and white keys.
Dressed in a vivid red suit and sporting metallic silver eye makeup for her performance, Lady Gaga sat down to a different piano and performed "Till It Happens To You," a song she co-wrote with Diane Warren for The Hunting Ground, a documentary on the epidemic of campus sexual assault. In her speech, she acknowledged her family again for not denying her "right to express [herself] at a young age" and encouraged other parents with creative children to do the same.
Lady Gaga also highlighted the important of events like Billboard Women In Music to give female artists a platform and a voice.
But what I really want to say is that it is really hard sometimes for women in music. It’s like a f***in’ boys' club that we just can’t get into. Sorry, Grandma...And that’s why tonight is so important. Because women provide a wisdom to music that is very unique and special. It is a perspective that no other person can have because we bear life, and we go through things that no one goes through. And more importantly because it’s right. Because we’re all equal.
On a night that was all about women supporting each other, my highlight was watching Lady Gaga receive an award for her vision, talent, and selflessness from her very own mom.

Did Russia Shade Lady Gaga For Her LGBT Views By Making An Ugly Wax Figure Of Her?

This is some next-level shade.
Madame Tussauds recently debuted a new wax figure in Russia of Hotel Cortez Countess and part-time pop star Lady Gaga, and it’s ugly. Like, seriously hideous.
This is some next-level shade.
Madame Tussauds recently debuted a new wax figure in Russia of Hotel Cortez Countess and part-time pop star Lady Gaga, and it’s ugly. Like, seriously hideous.
What, did the artist get drunk, throw on a blindfold and blastARTPOP while making this?! The wax figure is so sloppy, dirty and awkward that it’s almost as if it was made intentionally terrible. The face placement! The so-2008 outfit! The smeared mascara! The oddly-structured hand! How could the peeps at Madame Tussauds do this to such a gorgeous (and talented!) woman? Seriously, Russia–what the eff is this?
Could it be Russia–who banned “homosexual propaganda” (whatever that means) in 2013–purposefully made an ugly figure to take a shot at Gaga, a staunch advocate for all LGBT rights? Possibly. Russia could easily have some ill-will toward Mother Monster for when she called out the country for its ridiculous ban in 2013.
“Sending bravery to LGBTs in Russia,” she said. “The rise in government abuse is archaic. Hosing teenagers with pepper spray? Beatings? Mother Russia? The Russian government is criminal. Oppression will be met with revolution. Russian LGBTs you are not alone. We will fight for your freedom. Why didn’t you arrest me when you had the chance, Russia? Because you didn’t want answer to the world?”
Then again, that seems petty, and Russia probably has a lot more important things to worry about than Lady Gaga. It is suspicious, though. Madame Tussauds is filled with nightmare-inducing wax figures, but none of them are this bad. Who knows? Maybe Russiadid feel the burning need to axe its Gaga grind via jank AF hot wax. It is certainly the most creative diss we’ve come across in a long time.
But something tells us Gaga is off running AHS: Hotel lines/drinking blood somewhere, giving negative f–cks about Russia and its shady, shady statue.

American Horror Story' renewed for sixth season: Will Lady Gaga return?

Lady Gaga as the Countess in "American Horror Story: Hotel." (Suzanne Tenner/FX/TNS)

Fans of "American Horror Story," rejoice: The sexy, audacious and nightmare-inducing anthology series will return for its sixth season in 2016, FX announced Tuesday.
"With the sixth installment coming next year, 'American Horror Story' has unquestionably joined the ranks of television's landmark series," John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks and FX Productions, said in a statement. "From 'Murder House' to 'Hotel,' AHS has pioneered a new television form as well as becoming FX's highest-rated show -- while also pushing every conceivable boundary of creative excellence and audacity."
Created and produced by Ryan Murphy (of "Glee" fame) and Brad Falchuk, the Emmy-winning series presents each season as a mostly self-contained miniseries, with a new set of characters and settings. The first season, "Murder House," followed a family that moves into a Los Angeles house haunted by its deceased former occupants. Jessica Lange won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for her performances in the first four seasons.

Season five, "Hotel," is currently airing with Lady Gaga, Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloe Sevigny, Denis O'Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Evan Peters and Finn Wittrock starring.

Lady Gaga joined the cast for season five, and Murphy said he invited her back for season six, E! reported.

Is Lady Gaga Connected To Infantata On 'Murder House'? 'AHS: Hotel' Could Give The Countess An Intriguing Backstory

While it's pretty much common knowledge now thatevery season of American Horror Story is connected in one way or another, the details behind those connections still remain somewhat of a mystery. However, as we delve further into each season, more and more details start to emerge and American Horror Story: Hotel is no different. In fact, recent photos have come to light that show Lady Gaga's character The Countess looking pregnant on the set of AHS: Hotel in what appears to be 1920's-era clothing. Adding further fuel to the fire, the images were also taken just outside of Season 1's iconic Victorian mansion, indicating that Lady Gaga's Countess shares a significant tie to this haunted establishment. But how do these pieces all fit together? One theory suggests that The Countess is connected to the Murder House Infantata storyline.
I mean, just consider what we know about Murder House's backstory. It was built in 1922 by Dr. Charles Montgomery, who at the time was considered to be "a surgeon to the stars," however, when his drug habit threatened to cramp their lavish lifestyle, he began performing illegal abortions in the basement for some extra cash. So taking that into consideration, it's entirely possible that The Countess came to Dr. Montgomery for that exact purpose. Perhaps she too was looking to get an abortion. This could also explain The Countess' interest in collecting young blonde children whom she considers to feel neglected. Maybe it's all part of some residual guilt she feels.
But what if the tie-ins don't just end there? What if her vampiric "virus" is what helped to actually createMurder House's Infantata? Because, as we all know, Dr. Montgomery's side business eventually came with a price when one of his patient's boyfriends learned about what he was doing and exacted retribution by kidnapping and dismembering the Montgomery's own son, Thaddeus. Stricken with grief, Charles went mad and used whatever body parts he had lying around in the basement to put his son back together again. This included giving him the "beating heart from one of our girls," which I assume means one of the fetuses he removed from a recent abortion patient. Could it be that the recent patient was none other than The Countess herself?
Gaga's character looks pretty far long in these photos, which could indicate that the unborn child would have a pretty strong heartbeat. So if that heart was then placed into Thaddeus' Frankenstein-esque body, then it could be argued that Infantata is really The Countess' son. And remember how the child ended up bitting Nora Montgomery when she tried to nurse him — almost as if he had a craving for blood rather than milk? That sounds awfully familiar in regards to this season's "virus" storyline. And if The Countess had already contracted the virus at some point during her pregnancy, then odds are that her baby was also carrying the virus within its blood stream when its heart was placed inside of the Montgomery child. That would certainly explain his sudden craving for blood.

American Horror Story Hotel, Chutes and Ladders TV review: It's one long Lady Gaga video

Lady Gaga in American Horror Story: Hotel

Sex, drugs, fashion and plain weirdness all set to a great soundtrack? American Horror Story is starting to feel more and more like one long Lady Gaga music video - and what's not love about it?
Tonight we delved further into the Hotel Cortez and got the whole back story of why it's so darned creepy, but it was the Countess who kept us captivated.
The Lady in question is earning her acting chops as she goes along. The Countess is not just a sexy, vampiric creature with her eye on the next conquest, there's something deeper there and you get the impression that we've yet to see more from Lady Gaga in this role.
What we have learnt about the Countess so far is that she is highly intelligent, which makes her reason to turn super-bratty super model Tristan Duffy (Finn Wittrock) perplexing.
Yes, he has razor sharp cheek bones that could cut ice and a chiselled body to match but he's completely crackers - much like his Freak Show alter-ego Dandy Mitt, down to his predilection for wandering around in tiny Y-fronts. Not to mention that he's as thick as he is handsome and hardly the brightest of people.
Who asks if they can kill Kendall Jenner shortly after they've been turned? Let's hope the Countess is only keeping him around for the thrills because compared to Donovan (Matt Bomer) he's about as interesting as watching blood spatters drying on bedsheets.
Returning to the Lady Gaga music video analogy, real-life super model Naomi Campbell makes a cameo as Claudia Bankson, an Anna Wintour-esque Vogue journalist, who we can just imagine having a cat fight over a Louboutin swag bag at a fashion show. Although there's no outward signs of aggression, you can tell she's a hard-bitten fashion hack who knows her stuff and you wouldn't want to get in her way.

Lady Gaga fills in the blank with #IAmNotJust campaign

Lady Gaga unleashed her #IAmNotJust campaign on social

Lady Gaga, currently going by The Countess (the name of her American Horror Story: Hotel alter ego) on Twitter, is not here for you to label her. Never has been.
To that end, she has launched a new social media initiative through her Born This Way Foundation, in conjunction with Yale University.
This is about changing people's behavior, changing culture, changing the tone of how we value our feelings," Gaga wrote on Instagram Saturday when launching the social media campaign.
All you have to do is fill in the blank below. (But if you want Gaga to repost it, you're gonna have to provide art.)

Grace Jones on Meeting Lady Gaga: "I Just Didn't Feel a Soul"

Grace Jones and Lady Gaga

Feud alert?! Grace Jones is seemingly not the biggest fan of Lady Gaga. The 67-year-old supermodel and songstress revealed during a recent interview with Bevy Smith on SiriusXM’s Bevelations that when she met Lady Gaga, she didn’t connect with her.

“Gaga came to me, and I just could not find a soul,” Jones told Smith. “I come from church — maybe that has something to do with it. I like to get to the soul of a person. I just didn’t feel a soul.”
Jones, however, made it clear that she doesn’t think Gaga is soulless. “She might have been freaked out with meeting me,” she explained. “This happened. It’s okay, but then we met three times after, through [Philip] Treacy and, boy, I got so angry.”

Angry, Jones explained, because she felt that Gaga was ripping her off when it came to sporting the designer’s work. “I know Philip needed to make some money, but you know what, can you just wait until I finish my tour before you repeat what we are working on?”
This isn’t the first time that Jones has sounded off on fellow singers.
During an interview with Paper magazine’s October 2015 issue, Jones bashed Kanye West after he had his then-girlfriend Amber Rose recreate Jones’ iconic 1985 Jean-Paul Goude photoshoot.

“Kanye has been ripping off stuff from me and Jean-Paul Goude for a long time, so it was no surprise to me,” Jones admitted. “It’s so like, ‘I can’t beat him, [so I guess I’ll try to] understand him,’” she explained.

LADY GAGA TO WRECK HOTEL?

American Horror Story and Lady Gaga (her earlier albums) are cool.
Sometimes combining elements can lead to combustion.
As an actress, Lady Gaga has appeared less than stellar. A good performer on stage she may be. Her role in Machete Kills was somewhere in the realm of forgettable. If you've seen her acting with Beyonce in the "Telephone" official video, it seems sub par, to put it politely. Horror movies from the early 80's had better acting.
It just seemed years, or more appropriately, decades behind what the horror shows of today present, especially a several time Emmy nominated/winner like American Horror Story.
To date, no actor/actress has had their name superimposed over the title like Gagas had in the trailers leading up to the shows premier. That's quite a burden to bear, especially since she's essentially filling in as a leading role for Golden Globe and Emmy winner Jessica Lange.
If you've seen some of Lady Gagas music videos, they can get pretty damn weird. You may have as much an idea as what's going on in them as I do if "clown porn", or "pterodactyl porn" or "clown with pterodactyl porn" was Googled. Just see "Bad Romance" for reference.
It seems a shoe in that American Horror Story, with their way out their scenes, would accommodate to Ladys Gaga very well, so hopefully, it can provide a familiar setting in which she can perform to her best ability and feel comfortable in.
The question is: will that be enough?

Billboard' names Lady Gaga Woman of the Year

AP MUSIC-LADY GAGA A FILE ENT USA CA

Lady Gaga will be named Billboard's 2015 Woman of the Year at the publication's 10th annual Women in Music event.
The Grammy Award winner will receive the honor on Dec. 11 at Cipriani Midtown in New York. The event, which will be televised for the first time, is held in conjunction with the publication of Billboard’s Women in Music list, which selects the year’s 50 most powerful female executives in the music industry. Lifetime will air the event as Women in Music on Dec. 18.

Gaga was chosen based on her "industry leadership, artistry, philanthropy, innovative contribution to music and inspiration to millions," according to a release.

Billboard’s Woman of the Year has always represented the finest in music, and the anointing of a key influential figure who drove the conversation for that year. No one embodies that more than Lady Gaga in 2015,” said Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which consists ofBillboard and The Hollywood Reporter. “From her show-stopping performance at the Oscars, to her co-headlining tour, to her philanthropic outreach and foundation promoting youth wellbeing and empowerment, to her new role as TV star, there is no woman dominating popular culture tastes and its evolution as much as she is today. What a force.”

Previous Billboard Woman of the Year honorees include Taylor Swift in 2014 (her second time as Woman of the Year), Pink, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé.

The Lady Gaga of the 1920s'

Gerda and Einar Wegener in front of Gerda's painting Sur la route d'Anacapri at an exhibition in 1924

Eddie Redmayne is already being Oscar-tipped for his latest role in Tom Hooper’s biopic, The Danish Girl – the story of the painter Einar Wegener, who underwent the world’s first gender-reassignment operation to become Lili Elbe. But there was another woman behind Einar and Lili.
In The Danish Girl, Wegener’s wife, Gerda, a talented artist, is played by 26-year-old Swede Alicia Vikander, who very nearly steals the show as her partner’s devoted supporter. In real life, the story is not dissimilar. Gerda married Einar in 1904 and went on to become the nation’s most prominent exponent of art deco, pioneering the bending of gender boundaries and rethinking the female gaze.
“I like to think of her as the Lady Gaga of the 1920s,” says art historian Andrea Rygg Karberg, who has curated a new exhibition of Gerda’s work in Copenhagen. “Gerda was a pioneer who spent two decades as part of the Parisian art scene and revolutionised the way women are portrayed in art.” In short, Gerda Wegener was A Big Deal. “Throughout history, paintings of beautiful women were done by men,” says Rygg Karberg. “Women were typically seen through the male gaze. But Gerda changed all that because she painted strong, beautiful women with admiration and identification – as conscious subjects rather than objects.”

“Gerda refused to be defined by her rural past or what she was born into or what society wanted,” says Rygg Karberg, “just as Lili did. Both women created themselves from scratch.” Gerda was commissioned to produce illustrations for La Vie Parisienne, Le Rire and La Baïonnette, becoming hugely famous and considerably outearning her spouse. “What is more impressive is that she got ahead without trying to be more like the men to do it,” says Rygg Karberg. “She loved makeup and fashion, and didn’t see why embracing these traditionally feminine things should make her any less strong. She wanted it all.” The other string to Gerda’s lyre was eroticism. Her playful nudes, including graphic illustrations for the memoirs of Casanova, were celebrated throughout liberal society for their groundbreaking ploy of depicting female sexual pleasure – “which isn’t something you see too much of in art!”, says Rygg Karberg.

Rape Survivors Pen Letter to Lady Gaga, Diane Warren for Song "Til it Happens to You

Lady Gaga

The four sexual assault survivors who helped inspire Lady Gaga’s internationally hailed music video, "Til It Happens to You," have written to the singer and to the song’s co-writer Diane Warren, thanking them in moving terms for their artistic support.
The song, which never has been released as a single, is the haunting theme of Kirby Dick andAmy Ziering’s acclaimed documentary, The Hunting Ground, which details the experiences ofAnnie E. Clark, Andrea L. Pino, Sofie Karasek and Kamilah Willingham — all of them sexually assaulted on their college campuses.
The film, which debuted at Sundance, will be aired later this year on CNN and already is the subject of pre-Oscar buzz, as is the theme song.
As of Sept. 24, the song’s music video — directed by Twilight helmer Catherine Hardwicke — had generated nearly 12 million views online. The song has also become a trending topic on Facebook and Twitter, with Oprah WinfreyRachel Platten and senior White House adviserValerie Jarrett among its online supporters. The video currently is No. 4 on the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, the highest rating ever for one of Lady Gaga’s videos.
Since we first came forward with our personal stories of sexual assault to our family, to the media and in The Hunting Ground, our lives have changed significantly,” they wrote. “A burgeoning movement to end campus rape has swept to schools across the country, inspiring new educational initiatives, legislation, and, most importantly, a widespread community of support for survivors. Within this community, the four of us have carried the weight of pressuring our institutions to reform, and have dedicated ourselves to this effort."
“The release of your song will have an unparalleled impact on the culture of campuses nationwide," they continued. "Imagine a survivor who, after hearing your song, no longer feels isolated or alone. Picture that survivor’s friend, telling that survivor that it’s not her fault … We want to thank you both for having the courage to write and perform this song and for allowing your talent, your music, your lyrics and your voices to tell our stories."
Warren responded that, “The letter from the survivors from the documentary The Hunting Ground that was sent to Lady Gaga and me made me cry. I am humbled by this brave and beautiful letter and being able to write a song that can not only speak to this cause but can hopefully help bring some healing as well.”

Lady Gaga gets serious in new music video about sexual assault on college campuses

Lady Gaga

The singer has released a music video for her song "'Til It Happens To You." The song and video depicts some of the types of sexual assault that takes place on college campuses across the nation. "Until it happens to you, you don't know how it feels," Gaga sings in the song.
Til It Happens To You" was created for the documentary "The Hunting Ground."
The documentary takes a look at sexual assault on college campuses. Newsweek referred to the film as "terrifyingly true."
The film premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival and is available on Itunes.
Recording "'Til It Happens To You" was especially emotional for Lady Gaga. The singer revealed in 2014 that she was raped when she was 19 years old, according to People.
The music video was released just days before the Sept. 21 release of The Association of American Universities report on campus sexual assault and sexual misconduct.
According to the report, about one in four women have been a victim of a sexual assault while on campus. The report's definition of sexual assault includes nonconsensual kissing, touching or groping, in addition to nonconsensual penetration involving force or incapacitation.
Responses from more than 150,000 students, including many in Pennsylvania, are included in the report.
University of Pittsburgh and University of Pennsylvania were among the 27 schools surveyed by the AAU.
The study found that 82 percent of survey respondents at the University of Pennsylvania did nothing when they saw someone going into a drunken sexual encounter.
Additionally, 12 percent of female undergraduate students experienced nonconsensual penetration involving force or incapacitation at the university. 10 percent of undergraduate women experienced this at the University of Pittsburgh.
The full reports for University of Pennsylvania and University of Pittsburgh are both available online.
In addition to releasing "'Till it Happens To You," Lady Gaga will appear on "American Horror Story: Hotel" when it airs on FX on October 7.
Earlier this year the singer became engaged to Lancaster native, actor Taylor Kinney.

Lady Gaga's "Til It Happens to You" Music Video Focuses on Campus Rape: Watch

ust weeks before the premiere of American Horror Story: Hotel, Lady Gaga surprised fans with the release of a new song and music video, titled “Til It Happens to You.”
The song, which Gaga recorded earlier this year with Diane Warren for the documentary The Hunting Ground, focuses on the subject of college campus rape and sexual assault.

The emotional video, directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight), was shot entirely in black and white and depicts several women being assaulted at fraternity parties and in dorm rooms. The women are then shown crying and writing phrases like, “Believe me” and “Sometimes I hate myself” on their arms before being comforted by their loved ones. Hardwicke also enlisted actress Nikki Reed for the music video, with whom she previously worked with on Twilight and Thirteen.

The video is prefaced with a title card that reads, “The following contains graphic content that may be emotionally unsettling but reflects the reality of what is happening daily on college campuses,” and ends with the statistic, “One in five women will be sexually assaulted this year unless something changes.”
In 2014, Gaga, 29, revealed during an interview with Howard Stern that she was raped by a music producer when she was 19.

Hotel promo shows the many sides of Lady Gaga's Countess

So far, we know that Lady Gaga’s The Countess is a bloodsucker — and a sexy one at that — and thanks to a new Gaga-focused teaser for American Horror Story: Hotel, we now know, well, not much else.
The new promo pretty much consists of Gaga dancing around, occassionally putting people on leashes, and just generally showing the many twisted sides to The Countess. Much like her portrayer, it seems The Countess has a flair for the dramatic.

Lady Gaga's Stylist Brandon Maxwell Debuts His First Collection at NYFW

Lady Gaga's Stylist Brandon Maxwell Debuts His First Collection at NYFW

To passersby, a raucous crowd outside the upscale Chinese restaurant Mr. Chow at 9 p.m. on Monday night might have seemed out of place. And indeed it was, especially for a New York Fashion Week show, which was Brandon Maxwell's location of choice to unveil his debut collection, but the designer understands the power of making an impression—Maxwell is the man behind Lady Gaga's many looks.
The fashion herd flocked to the Upper East Side to see what this stylist-turned-designer had to say—one of them being Alexander Wang, who just celebrated his brand's 10th anniversary. "I know him through Gaga," Wang tells InStyle prior to the show. "But we've been close friends on our own. He's so much fun, so down-to-earth. I'm excited to see his creations."
Maxwell's offering was certainly something to see. Hisspring/summer 2016 collection began with a line-up of razor-sharp, femme fatale suits in a neutral color palette of black, ivory, and dusty rose that eventually gave way to sweeping ball gowns, with one dramatic number drawing enthusiastic claps from the crowd. "All I really wanted to achieve was the classic, timeless piece that a woman can spend a good amount of money on and that she will wear over time," the designer says. "That was my goal, and I hope we accomplished that."
And what was Lady Gaga's part in the process? "She's really the reason why I was able to do this," Maxwell says. "She's assured me through her own life work that anything is possible."
Naturally, Lady Gagahis guest of honor, muse, and friend—was there to lend her support.
"I’ve been looking at this collection for a few months now and watching him pour his love and passion into it, his past, his present, and his future, and I have to say that I’m just completely speechless by how well executed this evening was," she says. "It was a special experience being here tonight and being a part of putting this show on with him and loving him as a friend."
What's more, Gaga plans to show off these looks soon. "I can wear them any time, all the time," she insists. "They're for the woman who likes to be dressed well and who likes to enjoy things that are made well, and these clothes are made perfectly, down to every inch of your body. You don’t have to worry when you zip it up that it won’t hug you in just the right way because he’s already decided the shape, and when you put it on, you become a part of that dress."
And judging by how stunning she was in her sleek Brandon Maxwell suit, we have no other choice but to believe her.

My Fashionable Night Out With Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, and Lots of Pole Dancers

At Alexander Wang's NYFW streetwear-focused show, there were stars galore—including Kanye—and a pounding bassline. A subtler genius was at play at Banana Republic.
Around 9:15 Saturday night, outside a dark warehouse where designer Alexander Wang presented his 10th anniversary collection, Nicki Minajemerged inconspicuously from her limousine.
She stood alone, unnoticed, and unsure of her next move—where were the cameras?—until a single bulb flashed from behind.
“Come around to this side!” she screamed at the lens, pointing out in front of her: she’d give him one shot, and was evidently prepared to make a scene for it to be the best head-to-toe picture taken that night.
Lady Gaga was blinded by flashes the second she stepped out of her car in a pair of glittering, precipitously tall platforms.
The celebrated New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham was hunched over near the warehouse entrance, ready for Gaga and her bedazzled shoes.
Minaj slipped away through a side door.
Lady Gaga ducked under the velvet rope at one point in the evening to dance among the plebs.
Minutes later, the two music divas were seated next to each other in the front row, ignoring the crush of people around them. Gaga dragged from her cigarette and exhaled in a paparazzo’s face.
Kanye wasn’t ready to sit, someone whispered to a security guard trying to herd people toward their seats.
The rapper’s hooded head hung low, facing a wall. Josh Ostrovsky (otherwise known as “The Fat Jew”) chatted loudly nearby, his hazard-orange sweatsuit directing attention away from an unusually shy Kanye. Kim Kardashian West was conspicuously absent.
Wang’s shows tend to bring out all the hip-hop artists, and this year was no different. Mary J. Blige, The Weeknd with model girlfriend Bella Hadid, and rapper Tyga all sat front row. (Tinashe, Lil Wayne, and Ludacris all performed at the after party).
The designer returned to his roots with streetwear for his spring collection: bomber jackets, oversized hoodies, pajama shirts, wide-brimmed baseball caps, and lots of ripped or faded denim. Models stomped down the runway to the heavy bass thud in Leikeli47’s Fuck The Summer Up.'
The underwhelming presentation lasted only five minutes, almost as long as the show’s closer: a hypnotic video mash-up retrospective of Wang’s ten years in the business—the designer’s very own hip-hop video.
The evening’s biggest attractions were the pole dancers, who looked like contorted mannequins when a curtain went up after the show, opening up the rest of the venue for the after-party.
One of the pole mannequins began to twirl and split and twerk in the air, and the others followed one-by-one.
They wore sporty black bras and underwear branded with Wang’s initials, AW, on each cheek.
Occasionally they took breaks, handing over their poles to another dancer.
Each station had a Wang-branded spray bottle: the designer’s face on a $10 bill, which contributed to the strip-club vibe. Several people said Wang had hired the best dancers in New York for the occasion, who were still working it at 1:00 AM, when Lil Wayne came on stage.
The celebs were all cordoned off in a VIP-designated area, though Lady Gaga ducked under the velvet rope at one point in the evening to dance among the plebs.
It was a fanfare-filled evening, but Wang’s collection left little to be excited about in the way of fashion.

Hotel exclusive: See Lady Gaga’s Countess exposed in new image

The Countess, the character played by Lady Gaga on American Horror Story: Hotel, is not just a bloodsucker — she’s a sexy bloodsucker. Exhibit A: this exclusive new image of a robed (or disrobed) Countess, the owner of the Hotel Cortez, from the latest season of FX’s anthology series.
But the lack of clothing doesn’t mean this woman is vulnerable. “The Countess is a very old soul,” Gaga tells EW. “She’s extremely strong. She’s been through so much. It’s kind of impossible for anything to penetrate her. This show in many ways is about her survival and there is an amazing journey that touches on the mythology of viruses and in what way these afflictions change our lives and bring us together and tear us apart.”

5 Years Later: See Lady Gaga's Meat Dress Now

Five years after Lady Gaga wore a meat dress to the MTV Video Music Awards, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has put the fleshy frock on display.
It's preserved with dye and formaldehyde, but conservators are unsure how long the item will last. Jun Francisco, the director of collections, says the dress is "very hard," telling MTV News, "Right after the VMAs, the museum contacted Lady Gaga about the meat dress and the plan for the future. They agreed to send it to us, but at the time it was still raw meat. So we had to figure out — we went back and forth with ideas — and the thing we decided on was to preserve it like a beef jerky. So it’s taxidermied."
Designed by Franc Fernandez, the outfit was one of three worn by the bisexual megastar to the 2010 VMAs. Neither of the other outfits are on display as part of the collection. Her piano has also been acquired by the museum as part of its “Women Who Rock” exhibit.
The museum also possesses the outfit's matching shoes, purse, and hat. The shoes are being displayed with the dress, but the other items are still in storage.
The dress and shoes will be on display at the Cleveland museum until the end of the year, although officials are considering extending the exhibit if possible.

Meet Lady Gaga's "Magical Children" From American Horror Story: Hotel

 Embedded image permalink

It's scary how much information we're getting about American Horror Story: Hotel this week. (See what I did there?) The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features a ton of pictures of the new season, plus they revealed more information than ever about the plot. Star Lady Gaga has been tweeting out pictures from her photo shoot, and one in particular unveils a shocking detail about her character: the Countess is a mother!
That's right, Lady Gaga's character has her own little monsters. We knew the Countess drinks blood (though Murphy doesn't love the term "vampire"), and she has been in a sexy longterm relationship with Donovan (Matt Bomer), but this is the first time we're hearing about her bloodthirsty spawn. They're already terrifying.

American Horror Story Hotel: Jessica Lange to return, Lady Gaga confirmed as 'bloodsucker'

Lady gaga in Ahs: Hotel

When Jessica Lange announced that Freak Show was going to be her last run on American Horror Story way back in 2013, everyone went into a frenzy. People took to Twitter to exclaim the show just wouldn't be the same without her while others resorted to pure denial, arguing that she'll probably return at some point down the line even though she had previously stated she was "done with AHS."
Well, it turns out the latter weren't so far off the mark after all as showrunner Ryan Murphy has revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that her return to the series is "always possible". Adding even more fuel to the fire, the 49-year-old creator also said: "She'll be back -- she's not gone forever. She wants to come back, we just have to come up with something."
As if that revelation wasn't enough for hardcore fans to get excited about, in the same interview, Murphy gave a little insight into new lead, Lady Gaga's character, confirming that she will be playing a form of "bloodsucker" that will be several hundred years old.
"I prefer the term 'ancient blood virus,'" he told EW. "It's not vampires. It's really a form of haemophilia in a way. There's no capes and fangs. She is sort of a very wealthy social doyenne who is consumed with art and fashion and people. She has a nefarious plan that is revealed in the first episode."
A show insider also explained a bit about Elizabeth (Gaga): "Her character is the hotel owner and the mother of 10 identical vampires who are eight-years-old. They're played by children and are very creepy!"

Lady Gaga’s ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ Countess Is Revealed: See The Bloody Pic

We’ve known for weeks now that Lady Gaga will be playing a woman called “Countess” on “American Horror Story: Hotel,” but until now, her look has remained a total mystery. (Except for the occasional on-set paparazzi shot, of course. Gaga loves that “Paparazzi!”)
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we now know what the Countess will look like — and what she’ll eat, which is human blood. (““It’s really a form of hemophilia, in a way,” creator Ryan Murphy says.)
Gaga’s EW spread also reveals that some of the “Hotel” story — specifically, Evan Peters’ story — will take place in the 1930s, as the “deeply psychotic” James March built the Cortez as a labyrinth-like structure to hide his murderous activities. Gaga’s Countess is part of the modern day story of the hotel, along with her two lovers, Donovan (Matt Bomer) and the Tristan (Finn Wittrock).
Also floating around the Los Angeles-based Cortez will be “Ramona Royale (Angela Bassett), an actress/former lover of The Countess’ seeking revenge; Iris (Kathy Bates), Donovan’s mother and the front desk clerk; Liz Taylor (Denis O’Hare), a cross-dresser nicknamed by The Countess; Hypodermic Sally (Sarah Paulson), a junkie and friend of The Countess; Detective John Lowe (Wes Bentley), a cop investigating a murderer named the Ten Commandments Killer; and The Addiction Demon, a creature in the vein of Rubberman or Bloodyface, who has no eyes or mouth but does wield a nasty, conical drillbit dildo.”
So basically, those teasers we saw last week for the series revealed a whole lot more than we initially thought, offering up a glimpse at both Gaga’s blood-gloves and the nightmare-fuel addiction demon:
